We erect borders to secure systems and prosperity, to guarantee protection for "our own" against "the outside". These borders define belonging and exclusion, they create identity. We decide to whom and to what we open them, to whom access is granted, and to whom that access is denied. This decision is moral. It determines who we are.

the bottomline - BORDERS:

They're wounded men.
Yes, I guess they are wounded men.
They can't feel themselves anymore,
then they have to be wounded men.
Oh, they took a torturous way
to be rejected by folded arms now…

The European Union…, what do we want to be?
A place of human rights, a place of moral entity.
But our comfort is based on robbery…
They're wounded men,
while we are addicted to control again! Why…?
No, we don't do what we can…, no…, why…?

Nationalism is no answer at all!
We should arise from old thinking,
we're not more worth than them!
Yes, we are brothers and sisters!
We need to be there for them!

Who placed all the cruel orders
to build up deadly borders?

These borders show us our failure,
a deadlock in human behavior.
We are not the only ones, with the right to dignity!
